HAPPY EASTER!

Hope everyone has a great Easter. Today was sunny and bright and a great family day. My sisters are here and we basically hung out all day! We had a lovely barbeque and laughed a lot. Tomorrow is Easter and Evan is super excited to find eggs with his big brother . His other brothers are in AZ, and we will be joining them on Tuesday. Its hot there! I am excited! Tomorrow we will go to Church, then to Moms for more food! Easter is a time for New Life, and new beginnings and to be thankful for all that was given to us from the Creator.......God Bless All...

HOCKEY IS DONE!

The weekend was a bit crazy, with hockey ending and basketball as well. The twins won silver for basketball.. Now we have a few weeks before baseball starts up. I am looking forward to the AZ sun with the family. Its always a great time, and the shopping is great too!! I will be on the hunt for some Hopi or Jemez pottery, at the huge flea market they have there. Evan is looking forward to collecting rocks,,,and seeing a cactus.

I am not feeling very good today and i think I have loist 5 pounds in the last 36 hours.. Too bad it wont stay off. Just enough energy to get the kids breakfast and do some laundry... I am irritated with my keyboard too,as Evan spilled some juice on it and now the space bar sticks. So I will finish this post and get some rest.....

Saw -- JUNO ----the movie

I really liked this movie. I dont get to go to many movies, but I am glad I went to see this one. It is about a 16 year old who gets pregnant. Of course, that hit close to home , since I was a pregnant teen. I was 17, and I kept my son, who will be 21 next month. The movie brought back a flood of memories for me and I was pretty quiet throughout the movie, and shed a few tears. I forgot some of the emotions and stress I went through. Juno had a pretty good set of parents, and they supported her decisions. I too had the really great parents, who helped me succeed. I am sure if they had not been a part of raising Justin, that I would not be where I am today. Also my siblings were very supportive. It makes a real difference to have that love and support. I know that if this happens to my chidren what my role will be... to help out as much as I can..and not make them feel awful or scorned. People make mistakes, we just hope they learn from them. Being pregnant , at 17, wasnt the end of the world for me or my family, it just put a little kink in my plan for my future. That being said, I wouldnt change a thing. I am where I am now, because of the past , and thats is just perfect with me!!!

I AM 39!

Today I am 39.. Just a number right? Actually I feel great! I was just saying ,after church, last night, to the kids, how lucky I have been . I have a great life. super family, awesome friends. What else would I want? yes, I complain about the daily things life has , but that is normal, I hope. The big picture is that I am a blessed person. I thank God for that every day...... As I lay in bed last night, I thought what can I do to improve my life. The answer is to try and help others more, volunteer, be a mentor... So I will work on that this year. A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to MY TWIN SISTER DARLENE!!!!! Its always been very special to have a twin sister!!!!
