CHOICES.... What a strong word it is.,,, We can do a lot with Choices. This word allows us to make decisions that will influence us in so many ways... some good and some bad. Although I try to make the right Choices, I often find myself making the wrong ones, throughout the day and week. The great thing about this word, is that it is never ending. So even when I make the wrong choice, I can turn around and make a better one!
Since I have been to the Choices program, it has taught me how to make the Choices that hopefully, will set me on the right track , to a more fulfilled life.
Here a few key things I have learned, through the journey of Choices, and if used they Will help me live the best life possible..
A favorite " IF BETTER IS POSSIBLE, IS GOOD GOOD ENOUGH?"
" THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON THE QUESTIONS YOU ASK YOURSELF."
"TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF SO YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF OTHERS"
"WHAT I FEAR I CREATE!"
" WHAT IS THE WORST THING THAT WILL HAPPEN?"
MY FAVORITE.." IF I DO WHAT I'VE ALWAYS DONE I'LL GET WHAT I'VE ALWAYS GOT!
"BE COMMITTED, TO DO WHAT IT TAKES, TO HAVE WHAT YOU WANT!"
There are many more things I learned as well, and am trying to use then in my daily life. Choices taught me to look deep into myself, acknowledge what I dont like, and accept what I do like. The whole process of Choices, is unlike anything I have ever experienced and can not even put into words how wonderful this program is. I look forward to going again in Feb, to continue on my journey....

I Apologize....
For seeing clouds...
It's just the way I am.
I don't mean to wander off,
I think it's my genetics.
I really want to listen ,
and look straight into your eyes.
But then I see the clouds,
Those darn floating clouds.
I wish I could explain it,
and change the way I tick.
So I could just sit and
listen to everyone's chatter.
and let you know you matter
You do, you really do..
But those clouds keep creeping in.
It's not my fault
I'm sorry...
I truly do apologize.
Those darn floating clouds.
It's just the way I am.
I don't mean to wander off,
I think it's my genetics.
I really want to listen ,

A NEW YEAR. means NEW GOALS!
2011 is here! 2010 was a pretty good year for me, so many happy times and memories. I hope 2011 will be the same.
I am a goal setter, by nature, and a list maker, so naturally I have new goals for 2011. I always have the fitness goals , although , as I am getting older, they are not as hard as they used to be. My main fitness goal, is to exercise one hour a day. Trying to make sure that at least 3x a week I run, once a week yoga, and boot camp 1-2 times, and of course walking as much as I can. I also am trying to snow shoe, or xcountry ski once a week. It doenst matter the order, of these activities, I just need to try to do them. The real challenge this year, will be to get to 130 and maintain it, before June. We are going to be in Kelowna, for a month, and I want to be bikini ready. This is not easy for me at all. I also hope, that Mike will get on board and lose some weight as well.
On a personal note, I am going to try to be a "happier" me. I am hoping, that once I go to Choices, next week, I will gain some insight, on how do this, and to become a calmer more peaceful person. I want to be a better Mom, wife and friend. I want to learn to love the life I have and not search for something else.
There are other goals as well, learn to crochet, take 2 hikes that I havnt done, maybe belly dance, take a small trip with friends, and learn to cook something new .
Bring on 2011!

This Top photo
The top photo, on my blog, is a tribute to my Uncle. It was about this time, 3 years ago, he disappeared. He was hunting, In NFLD, in familiar territory, when he just vanished. Noone knew what happened, but his quad and birds, he shot, were found. For almost 2 years, people searched for him, including my dad, who flew from AB to NFLD 2x to look.
Then, my Dad's cousins, were hunting, and saw something. A rifle, just standing alone. They went near it, and then saw some clothing. It was him. He must have had a heart attack, and lied down in the grass. Finally, my family could have closer, especially my Aunt and her children.
My dad said, that they were no more than a yards away, from him, but never saw his body, on their searches. Its rough, bushy terrain, and they just didnt see him.
So the cross, and rocky grave, are his memorial..... rest in Peace ..Uncle Willard

Dreams
So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.

Just how I feel today
GO FOR LONG WALKS, INDULDGE IN HOT BATHS, QUESTION YOUR ASSUMPTIONS,
BE KIND TO YOURSELF,
LIVE FOR THE MOMENT,
LOOSEN UP, SCREAM,
CURSE THE WORLD,
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS,
JUST LET GO, JUST BE....
BE KIND TO YOURSELF,
LIVE FOR THE MOMENT,
LOOSEN UP, SCREAM,
CURSE THE WORLD,
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS,
JUST LET GO, JUST BE....
Winter... love and hate
I can not believe its been so long since I have done any writing. I guess the trip was such a hilight , for me, I just have not been back to my blog. Now winter has settled in, with snow and temps, far below normal. Today, is cool but one of those winter days, you just want to be playing in the snow. I started with a nice walk, then some shovelling , then some snow angels.. Yes snow angels, I made them and just gazed up at the clouds and blue sky. Laying in the snow, brought back a flood of memories, from my childhood, and from when my own kids were young. I fogot what snow feels like under your body, and how peaceful it all can be. I guess we all need to take a moment or two, and go back to those times, that we have forgotten about. Afterall, they make up our very being.
